Captain Rehab is a Bristol-based musical artist, photographer and promoter.
Musically, Captain helms many aspects of the music-making process. Experienced as a musician, guitar being prominent in most all output, a dynamic producer and a talented songwriter. They have performed many times with their stomping folk-punk band, Nasty Fishmonger, which also runs a podcast titled, The Fishtank, where they “chat about stuff they like with people they think are interesting”. Solo, their sound takes a more electronic turn, with often trancelike beats and character-adding distortion. In addition to all this, they are also an active music promoter, organizing concerts and other events. Aside from music, Captain Rehab is a photographer. The unique imagery featured through their camera can be quite whimsical, yet macabre. Washed out filters, overflowing lights and often enveloped in darkness, there is really something fascinating in what is captured.
There’s a lot to discover through this portfolio, musically and visually. Songs in a band, solo music, photography, all vastly different from one another. Check out their music, catch them on their podcast, and if you’re a performer, maybe hit them up for a gig.
