Born and Raised in Vancouver to Nova Scotia parents, Ben Gwynn has continuously felt at home on both coasts of Canada, also being familiar with most everywhere in between. His deep love for his countries culture, landscape and history is a large part of his identity. This curiosity for the world around him has expanded further to the rest of the planet, and even beyond.
His lasting interest in the world has translated greatly to his animations, drawings and writing.
Having graduated from Vancouver Film School in 2019, Ben acquired valuable experience in animation, which is clearly visible within his final products. His distinctive characters, defined colour palettes and stunning backdrops all come together for an outcome unlike anything else.
Of course, his drawing style has been complementary to his audiovisual endeavours. Cartoonishly designed characters, creatures and props have strongly determined his artwork, yet he has not been limited stylistically. Diverse is at least one major way to describe his ever growing portfolio of craftsmanship, skill and talent.
